Dedicated to the principle that no child’s education is complete if it does not include the fine arts, this non-profit organization exists to nurture and develop excellence and creativity in the individual by providing education materiel as well as performance and competition opportunities in music, dance, visual art, drama and creative writing.

Dear Friends,

Due to circumstances beyond our ability to control we are needing to put on hold all competitions, Festivals and activities. (However, the Eastern Jackson County Youth Orchestra WILL continue to rehearse and prepare for its Spring Concert.)

We sincerely desire to handle all of our affairs with excellence and integrity. Therefore, we need to reorganize and restructure so that, when we are able to resume operations, we can do so with fervor, passion and the highest level of service that God-given creativity deserves.

We are NOT "closing our doors," but are simply taking a step back for a period of time. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and support during this challenging time. Please email me if you have questions or concerns.

Dr. Rebecca McConnell

The Fine Arts Education Association was founded in December 2005 by Dr. Rebecca McConnell. Dr. McConnell holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and a Master of Music degree from the Conservatory at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Her Bachelor of Music degree is from Calvary Bible College. She has maintained a private voice studio; been the music division director for Art in the HEART (a local fine arts festival for the home educated) for 10 years; been an adjunct professor at Calvary Bible College and Southwest Baptist University; has conducted choirs, orchestras, and workshops, and has taught vocal technique a music theory to students of all ages. Dr. McConnell is currently writing a music theory course and has several more music theory and music history courses in the making.
